The 2026 Arizona History Convention will be held on Sept 25 and 26, 2026 at the Arizona Historical Society's Arizona History Museum located at 949 E. 2nd Street, Tucson, Arizona.
Registration for the conference and details about the program will be available on this website in June.
Parking is available at the Arizona Historical Society's section of the Main Gate Garage, Euclid Ave. and 2nd St., near the Marriott Hotel. Please enter the garage from 2nd St and head north to the section labeled "Arizona Historical Society," and bring your ticket to the museum for validation.
Friday late afternoon features a welcome reception (with food and beverage) and a talk by keynote speaker, Mark Santiago, titled "1776: Revolutions in the East and West."
Saturday we will have four 90-minute sessions, each with three individual paper presentations, grouped by subject matter. Awards for the best papers will be handed out at the 2027 Arizona History Convention banquet in Tempe.
In addition, we will also have poster exhibits where researchers can share their work between sessions. Posters provide a great opportunity to share current or developing research and/or to tell attendees about your history organization. The best poster will be awarded a $100 prize at the end of the conference.
The Call for Papers is still closed, but there is still time to submit a poster proposal.
