The 2026 Arizona History Convention will be held on Saturday, Sept 26, 2026 at the Arizona Historical Society's Arizona History Museum located at 949 E. 2nd Street, Tucson, Arizona.
This will be a one-day convention consisting of four 90-minute sessions, each with three individual paper presentations, grouped by subject matter. The theme for this convention will be the Semiquincentennial (250th anniversary) of both the United States and the founding of Tucson, as well as the Centennial of Route 66. However, the convention welcomes any topics related to Arizona or southwestern borderlands history.
In addition, we will also have a poster and exhibit session where researchers can share their work during breaks through a small poster or exhibit. Posters provide a great opportunity to share current or developing research and/or to tell attendees about your history organization.
A Call for Papers (with details on submitting a paper or poster proposal) will be available soon on this website.
