The Arizona History Convention, Inc., invites proposals for paper and poster presentations for the 2026 Arizona History Convention to be held on Saturday, September 26. We welcome proposals on any topic related to Arizona or southwestern borderlands history.
Please note that submitting a paper or poster proposal for the 2026 Arizona History Convention verifies each presenter’s commitment to attend and register for the conference should their presentation be selected for the program.
All papers and posters accepted for the conference are eligible for awards. Check the website for more information: https://arizonahistory.org/awards
All paper submissions will be peer reviewed and must be based on original research, demonstrating use of primary sources. Only one paper submission per person will be accepted and only papers that have not previously been presented at AHC are allowed.
Sessions will 90 minutes in length and consist of three individual paper presentations, grouped by subject matter, allowing for a maximum of 25 minutes for each presenter. Due to time constraints, we will accept only twelve paper proposals. The convention will provide equipment needed for PowerPoint presentations. Notification of acceptance will be sent in late April of 2026.
The deadline for all paper submissions is April 15, 2026.
